1、 Three dimensional signboard
The rigidity of 3D light box signboard through hot forming process is generally higher than that of plane shape. Therefore, when making 3D signboards, we can consider using a slightly thinner plate. It is difficult to make an accurate reference standard for molding, because it depends on the molding design, molding mold, bonding method and tensile ratio and other factors. When considering the selection of appropriate plate thickness to resist wind load, please note that the thickness of light box panel will decrease with the increase of forming stretch degree.

It is suggested that all signboards made of acrylic board with a height greater than 600mm should be reasonably designed for their lighting parts and fixed by hanging on the top to prevent the light box from deformation due to its self weight. In order to hang the acrylic light box signboard on the top, the acrylic strip should be bonded or fixed on the top edge of the panel by other methods, and firmly combined with the light box frame as a hanging beam. After that, the top edge will bear all the weight. Sufficient expansion allowance should be left at the bottom edge. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of long-term use, all bonding should use polymerized acrylic adhesive. The structure of the light box should be reasonably designed, even if the hanging beam on the top of the lamp box has problems, the acrylic panel will not come out of the frame.
In order to prevent improper lateral displacement of the panel, the positioning screw should be wedged in the center of the top of each acrylic plate, and then fixed in the light box frame to ensure the same thermal expansion in each side direction. It can prevent cracks and light leakage. When bonding acrylic plates, it is recommended that the joints should be processed into inclined planes and then be overlapped in reverse, so as to avoid the leakage of light from the joints. For the super long signboard light box that needs to splice several acrylic plates together, an expansion gap should be reserved at each half lap joint according to the previous suggestions.
For the light box signboard with height less than 600mm, 3mm acrylic plate can be used with traditional frame structure. If the surface of the light box is required to have a high flatness and can not be deformed due to the weight of the plate, 5mm plate is recommended.
